Star of the Week
Hello parents!
We are off to a great start at school and I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know each of your children! With that said, it is important to me that your child feels cherished for who they are in the classroom! In order to encourage a healthy self- concept, I have created a "Star of the Week" bulletin board. Each child will have a turn to be the star of the week. Your child will be notified when his or her turn is next. I will ask that your child bring in up to 5 pictures, and up to 3 items from home that describe your child's personality or interests (souvenir, a favorite book, etc) to be displayed for the week. On Friday, he or she will have a chance to show the items to the class and talk about them. I am hoping that this exercise will encourage the class to appreciate the gifts and contributions of each community classroom member!
Thank you for your help in assisting your child get ready when it is their turn!
Sincerely,
Ms. Byrd
